Challenge
Reduce the cost of software build, release, and deployment across the entire strategic IT change portfolio through automation and self-service, whilst managing a distributed team of 20+ DevOps engineers across onshore and offshore locations.
Approach
Devised and implemented a comprehensive roadmap covering source control governance, CI/CD with Jenkins and Maven, Linux platform provisioning with Puppet and Foreman, and automated deployment for 200+ projects. Managed outsourcing and contract negotiation for the programme portfolio. Introduced Software Quality Governance through CI and metrics-based solutions across all product development.
